A high-quality force table for the investigation of static equilibrium. It consists of a thick circular plastic plate mounted on a sturdy base with adjustable leveling feet. The outside of the plate is marked with a scale, and 3 low-friction pulleys fit around the rim to allow cords to be attached to a central ring and to weight hangers so that 3 forces can be be applied to the ring. The sizes and angles of the forces can be adjusted until they are in balance. A central pin prevents the ring and cords from sliding off when the forces are out of balance.
